I grew up in a very abusive family. One parent inflicted physical wounds, the other emotional ones. Every day was another chance at survival, and I'm happy to report that I made it out alive.

I left home when I was 17 and learned to take care of myself. I started counseling and read every self-help book I could get my hands on. I knew I had survived for a reason and that life had to have something better to offer. I was determined to find it.

Healing was a painful, lonely process. It was also a long one; one that never truly ends. Healing is like peeling away the layers of an onion, tears and all. But healing is also beautiful.

As I healed, I changed. My spirituality blossomed, and I came to believe that a Higher Power had carried me through everything for a reason.

In 2017, I found Reiki, and my life changed in ways I never imagined. The healing from my childhood seemed to fast-track, but in the gentlest, most loving way. Toxic relationships fell away. Old negative patterns dissolved. Emotional triggers no longer controlled my life. My heart and soul opened to an entirely new way of living.

​

Today, I understand that my story isn't defined by how it began. It is defined by what I chose to do with it.

I know why my life started the way it did. It shaped me into the person I am today, and for that, I am grateful. It probably sounds crazy to say that I'm grateful for the pain. But without it, I would never have discovered my strength, my purpose, or my calling.

Now I am here to share my tools with you. Survival tools. Healing tools.

Tools that helped me transform from surviving to truly living.

I am here to remind you that you deserve to be here, and that joy is your birthright.
